Rare opportunity for an experienced Wireless / 5G Pre-sales Engineer to join a young and growing start up in a key position at a pivotal time. Designing seamless wireless networks using Open RAN and Wi-Fi technologies, our client has secured local authorities, leading real estate and large enterprise logos, deploying and managing novel next generation high speed broadband networks utilising leading edge wireless technologies. Having already won the trust and partnership with all the UK tier 1 Mobile Operators, they are punching well above their weight in size and age and continue to grow at pace. 

Requirements

 

 

This is a brand-new role, the first dedicated Pre-sales position driven by opportunity demand. To succeed in this Wireless / 5G Pre-sales Solution Engineer role, you will have some of the following skills, knowledge, and experience:


  • 4G / 5G RAN architecture.
  • Wi-FI architectures.
  • Experience of NHIB (DAS/Repeaters/Boosters etc.) and/or Cellular Small Cell solutions.
  • Radio planning concepts and overview (4G / 5G, Wi-Fi).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of JOTS (Joint Operator Technical Specifications) process and understanding desirable but not essential
  • Fundamentals and overview of Big Data analytics, a nice to have.


The Job

The Pre-sales Solution Engineer will take ownership of the technical requirements and solutions for RFx tenders and proposals. Supporting Sales, acting as the SME, presenting technical solutions and associated ROI into new and existing partners and customers. In a young organisation, there are little boundaries and at times there will be the requirement to wear many hats.
